Finds like this are why I release Alphas to a select group... to find the errors without everyone claiming the sky is falling :)

When you say it didn't work well at all... what places are you seeing the white page at?

Back End Edits?
What else?

Also steps to recreate are very helpful in solving the bugs as you and I might take a different approach to do the same things...
Thanks,
Greg

OK - sorry about yesterday - was in a rush.

However I have just installed alpha 3.

Installation was a matter of deleting alpha 1 and installing alpha 3.
As yet I have not not seen any impact on front end (ie: white pages) although I seem to have lost one field - but I cannot relate this to any of the alpha releases.
I am impressed that there isn't a white page loading for the member profile as I have a tad more than the average going on in the way of fields loading when selecting member profile.
plugin performs as expected in rear end - I can't see any issues with the plugin adding users as they join nor with synching users.

However only problem I have is if I try to add a field to cb I get a white page load. I do however still have the white page load when trying to add a field with the plugin switched off or removed
So I am not convinced that it is an issue with the plugin and may relate to the having legacy mode enabled or a clash with another plugin as I would have thought if it was the plugin causing blank page on adding field it would have went away when I had no plugin installed. Although I must add that I did not have any problems adding fields prior to installing any of the alpha releases so I am not sure what fields it would affect.

However I will try to prune test site back to no legacy mode and see if that makes a difference.

glad to hear most of the issues went away. I will also test with legacy mode and see if I can find anything. With a fairly plain J1.5 install I was able to add CB Fields in the back end... So it could be a conflict of some type.

If the white pages are occurring on a test server you can adjust the error reporting level for php and see what the error is... I don't recommend doing that for a production site as it can give a hacker extra data to work with.
Thanks,
Greg

I am fairly certain it is a conflict.

As I have it running on 2 sites - the "production" site which is giving me the back end white pages and a test site which I have no back end white pages but I am getting a white page on profile page load.

So at the moment I am getting conflicting results between 2 sites

I think to give you "clean results" I will have to go back to test site and add plugins from scratch to see if I can replicate the white pages.

I will report back after some testing on the non production site with error reporting turned up

Hey Greg,

I am not an alpha tester but that beta one has the same problem mentioned in that this topic.

I got the same error, blank pages(even sometimes internal error).
But on my local, the system said sth different: You tried to use much memory than you are allowed(it is not exactly like that but the meaning is same, i can't remember the error message exactly)

Since I didn't think that it is a problem due to the plugin, I just refreshed the page and restarted the local apache and mysql server(thinking that it is a cache problem)

However, when i tried it again. It started to show me blank pages and that problem again as I said. I've just disabled the plugin and the problem disappeared.
May be I can help you by being an alpha tester.

P.S: I am using Joomla 1.5.15 and PHPBB 3.0.6

I am finding it difficult to call it a bug in the plugin, as said before I am certain it is a conflict - but I can't track exactly what what the conflict is - things seem to vary depending on what order you install various plugins.

On my production site it is working fine apart from one field in my profiles not displaying and I really can't see how the plugin would cause that - as well as the fact that the field doesn't display when the plugin is deactivated either.

I would be interested to know what other plugins you are using so as we could make a comparison and perhaps help out development that way.

I agree with you tastiger, it seems that it is not a kind of bug, it's a conflict between plugins.
I've just took a printscreen of the plugin list of the CB. There plugins and their availability are shown. It is better to take a printscreen of your plugin list and we can make a comparison easily.

Here you go this is my setup - where I now only have one field that doesn't display.

I will setup my test site with the same plugins as yourself after the weekend and report back...

If i have enough time to test, i'm gonna setup a test site on my local as you will. But I saw that you've installed some plugins related to some components. I have to install these comments also. I think that that cooperation will contribute to solve the issue

What are your php memory_limit settings? It should be above 16M

memory_limit 64M on production hosted server

memory_limit 32M on test server (home based)

That may explain one or two things - will up test server this week and see if that helps

Hi,

I used to have the CB connector running with my old joomla 1.0.x website, with m2f & phpBB 2.0.23. It worked really well.

I’ve now upgraded to Joomla 1.5.15, still with phpBB 2.0.23 & m2f. M2f is running fine, I just want to subscribe my 100 registered users from CB 1.2.1.

I installed CB Connector 2.5.0 Beta 1 and now I get the following error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function log() on a non-object in root/forum/m2f/m2f_common.php on line 210

Which is:
$m2f_log->log($log_msg , $log_level);

If I publish the connector the registered users get white screen with the error message. The message is also on the general tab of the cbc connector admin panel.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong here?

Cheers,
Jeannie
